We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise 2009. The award was made in the International Trade category after having achieved substantial growth in overseas sales and delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.​

The announcement was made on the Queen’s birthday, by the Queen’s Awards Office, following a recommendation from the Prime Minister. It’s the first time a tour operator has been granted the Queen’s Award for International Trade in three years.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal customers for the part they played in our winning this award. We look forward to our continued joint success in the years to come.

Steve Galpin, Managing Director of CHR Travel, commented: “This award is a tremendous boost to our business. The prestige of the Queen’s Award will help us to improve our marketing overseas. We hope that this Royal seal of approval will help further growth and expansion into new markets.

To date, our focus on the Asian market has produced excellent results with over 80% of our export sales coming from India and China. Our customers in these countries still see the UK as an essential part of a trip to Europe and London is a ‘must see’ city.

The weak pound presents other opportunities and CHR will be looking to expand our offering in the USA and the Eurozone while maintaining our good client relationships and nurturing our long term business. We will also explore new markets further afield, particularly Latin America.​
